Yeah, I disagree with anyone who said GGG was poor at cutting off the ring. IMO, he did a very good job. Now @Yuzo said his definition of cutting the ring off was cornering the opponent and not allowing him to have a place to go. Did he do that to Danny? No. What he did do, which is where most boxers lose the fight is when someone moves around and changes angles they are following the opponent and are always a step behind and never can get punches off.Danny a damn good boxer.

What I saw was GGG using his feet with a very good skill level keeping himself in front of Danny at all times. Danny moved around a lot and GGG was always there right in front of him. Jacobs did a good job not getting trapped, but GGG did a good job at keeping himself squared up to Danny.
What I saw from both fighters was an unwillingness to engage and throw more than two punch combinations with any frequency. GGG was landing the jab with regularity and to me controlled the action by moving forward and having the most consistent aspect of the fight being his jab. The power punch numbers were close, with a slight edge to Jacobs, however Jacobs was hurt twice in the fight, including a KD.

I had the fight close the first time around(even though I scored it 12-0 GGG) but after trying to re-watch it multiple times I always have GGG winning the first 5 rounds easy so I just end up turning off the fight.
