The reason Golovkin didn't show facial damage was because most of Jacobs best work was to the body. As to why the most ferocious puncher in boxing was throwing weak the last quarter of the fight, the portion of the fight Jacobs more or less dominated. Same gameplan Ward had vs Kovalev. Take the power from the power puncher.
Why do American fans cheer against our guys?
It could be as simple as Golovkin knocks people out and that is cool to some people, but honestly why is it that seemingly whenever an American fighter is fighting a foreign fighter on American soil, American fans cheer for the foreign fighter? From Danny Garcia vs. Amir Khan to Andre Ward vs. Sergey Kovalev, the fighter from overseas received more applause from those on social media as well as some more fanfare.
Are we in America just awful fight fans? Seriously, are we?
People traveled from the west coast to New York City simply to see Gennady Golovkin, but never once went to attempt to visit Daniel Jacobs when he trained just two hours away. It makes me jealous of the United Kingdom, who have fans who embrace both their guy and the opposing guy in good fun.
I am not sure what it is, but American fight fans sure do not take to American fighters one bit as even fan-friendly fighter such as Terence Crawford do not get the same attention as Gennady Golovkin despite having similar power and more boxing awareness in the ring.
He's a bytch nikka. He tweeted to John David talking shyt and took a shot at Curtis Stevens.
That said I'm looking through this thread and I'm shaking my head the whole time. GGG lost that fight. You score fights by rounds not by how the fighter looks.
I personally can't wait for that canelo ggg fight. When they Rob that nikka I'm going to be fukking Milly Rockin to James brown The Payback.
We said the same shyt with Jacobs. From What I saw Saturday I think I'm picking canelo.
Canelo getting knocked out.
I did expect a knock out but I didn't expect Danny to be that big, with that being said he still manage to drop him.. He almost dropped him with a jab in the 5th too.. Danny Is clearly MUCH more difficult to hit then a flat footed canelo.. The fight will play out like when he fought David, I think the corner stops the fight before the ko.We said the same shyt with Jacobs. From What I saw Saturday I think I'm picking canelo.
Ggg has a lot flaws which stood out to me.
The main one is him covering up while the other fighter is throwing his combos. He does not punch in between punches. With the way canelo throws combos that shyt isn't going to work. He throws solid hard combos and those shyts look pretty.
If his best work was to his body then
That wasn't even nearly enough to win a round let alone the fight.
It wasn't just about him being big. When somebody is able to push him back or stand their ground it isn't that easy for him. He generates his power going forward. He doesn't do well going backwards. And that knock down was more of a flash knockdown. He was still trading with him when he got up.I did expect a knock out but I didn't expect Danny to be that big, with that being said he still manage to drop him.. Yeah I don't get that. On top of that he has solid defense.Talking about flat footed Canelo like he ain't going to be looking like Lara in comparison to sloooooow ass even more flat footed Golovkin
nikkas been under rating body punches.. you see how that works?nikkas been overrating body work a lot lately.
If nikkas really believed they worked the body good enough, they would eventually start sitting down on some head shots and coming forward more. What's the point of working the body only to flurry and use lateral movement during the crucial moments. The whole point of working the body is to eventually turn it up big later on.
A good example is Roy Jones vs Tarver 1. Tarver was outboxing Roy clearly in the early rounds, but Roy started clowning and that shyt fukked with Tarver's head and it threw his gameplan off. He could never really get the jab going good again. Then Roy started throwing lead rights into that nikkas stomach in the center of the ring for the middle rounds. When the championship rounds came, he was able to gut it out and beat Tarver who didn't have that extra gear to shift too. Roy got more active and pressed the fight.

I'm just going to pull rank right here. You nikkas never been in the ring l. You should never say body punches are overrated.
If those shyts was overrated why the fukk didn't this nikka just walk through them.
nikka pleaseI been in the fukking ring before, so fukk your rank nikka.
I said nikkas is overrating body punches and then gave an example where body punching was more effective. So fukk outta here nikka.
