That's not what he said though. Still, what point is there even if you find some people under 30 that can't name 3 Nas songs. It doesn't really mean or tell you anything except they can't name three Nas songs. There's people that couldn't list three records from artists across different genres that are considered greats. It doesn't take away from the significance of that artist or that artist's work. This is no different than Ella Mai saying she couldn't list 5 Aretha Franklin records and she's an R&B artist. Her explanation was that her mother was more so playing Mary J Blige around the house when she was little, so she wasn't familiar with Aretha's music. Doesn't take anything away from Aretha's legacy. It just means that Ella Mai wasn't exposed to her music and never really took the time to listen to Aretha Franklin on her own.

Jay signed Nas to a label he was running, that's facts.
:duck:
L.A. Reid actually did. Jay and Nas interview together and they answered all these questions. Jay had not control over Nas at any point in Def Jam

that ether still burning slow is a fact tho

:umad:

make some more shyt up... we keep receipts

Minor misstep. However, nas did sign to a label he previously shytted on and Just was a president at that label at the time.

yeah that's how i see it. i don't take it as a knock on Nas. it's just the reality of time passing.

there's really a 24 page thread that gets bumped every other day for the past year over the rap opinion of the illegitimate maybe baby of a washed up kingpin? :mjtf: is it really that serious?
100%

:mjlol:

Literally an unknown imbecile stating his opinion and a lie, what is there to discuss
