“Do you agree people should be considered ‘innocent until proven guilty’? Trump doesn’t.”
That’s what this is all about. It’s not hard to communicate at all.
2/35

catbnymble.bsky.social
Trump is guilty. He assumes everyone is guilty.
3/35

metacogito.bsky.social
Unfortunately I think that statement (with which i 100% agree) is part of why this language isn't as impactful. People get "declared" guilty before a trial all the time, and these Fox-fried brains use that as proof that "innocent until proven guilty" is some vestigial relic.

dalatindiva.bsky.social
DNC talks impeachment - but they didn't do it twice before
ONE legal pathway left
5/35

shanahstone.bsky.social
Remember the Central Park Five?
Trump is a horrible human being.
And everyone who joins shows who they are too.
6/35

libtee.bsky.social
Ironic. He thinks he should be considered innocent even after proven guilty.
7/35

jhoward.bsky.social
“if Trump tried to call *you* MS-13, how would you clear your name? you couldn’t. not if he wins this case”
8/35

vanillaredfox.bsky.social
You’re forgetting that the Democratic Party are the blueprint for fukking up one car funerals. Embarrassing.
9/35

medlee.bsky.social
Trump doesn't care about guilt or innocence. He only cares about getting his way and punishing those that don't agree with his insanity.
10/35

tim-doin-tim-stuff.bsky.social
I'd go so far as to say he doesn't care if they are guilty or innocent at ALL
He cares about whether treating them as guilty, or declaring them innocent is of benefit to him
It's always about him
It's ONLY about him
11/35

rattacasal.bsky.social
He's used our judicial system to his advantage his entire life. This is the same but on steroids.
12/35

kvett20.bsky.social
Nah. He views himself as king. Full stop. Actual criminals that hurt, maime, break laws in his name, he pardons. Otherwise, if he can hurt someone to further his narrative he’ll do it. He’s an enemy of the republic.
13/35

zakaryalan.bsky.social
Remember when he told police officers that it was okay to beat up people they were arresting. Getting arrested isn't the same as being tried and found guilty. Lots of people are wrongly accused of crimes.
14/35

snowdenwriter.bsky.social
Trump does however believe in innocent after being proven guilty.
15/35

stlugal.bsky.social
Not true at all. He had no trouble defending Roy Moore, Ghislaine Maxwell, Jeffrey Epstein, Brett Kavanaugh. So I suppose it depends on melanin and type of crime.
16/35

kablackquois.bsky.social
I think it’s also important to point out how much he dragged out his own due process. It all fits together. “…for my friends, everything.”
17/35

jmdevitt.bsky.social
Himself excepted of course—then, it’s ‘innocent *after* proven guilty.’
18/35

marcdoesbluesky.bsky.social
You can be patriotic about it too: In America, people are innocent until proven guilty. In America, you don’t throw people in a jail because you don’t like what they say. In America, no one is above the law. I wish Dem leaders would frame it this way more.
19/35

pixiebithers.bsky.social
Central Park 5 and a full page notice in The Times would be a precursor
precursor
20/35

calvinonthebeach.bsky.social
No different from when he went after the Central Park 5, later known as the Exonerated 5. Would seem POC aren't entitled to due process in Trump World.
21/35

jeffreyd.bsky.social
no one says it because we're all kind of afraid that most Americans would say they don't either
22/35

gordonvincent.bsky.social
It's about Putin's goal of rebuilding a Soviet Empire. That requires chaos in the west. To that end, he gives orders to the Rapist. The Rapist obeys, because he wants to live another day. He hasn't made a single decision on his own in ten years.
23/35

elidelajandro.bsky.social
Unless you're an elected Dem, because 98% of them have lost the ability to speak like a regular person.
24/35

austinred.bsky.social
That’s for a criminal case, but due process is for any type of case…criminal, civil, administrative, family law, etc.
25/35

cmaguire3.bsky.social
If trump had had his way, the 100% innocent Central Park Five would all have been executed for crimes they did not commit.
26/35

nocure4curiosity.bsky.social
Clearly. He wanted to execute the Central Park teens even after they were found innocent.
27/35

metacogito.bsky.social
I dont think that phrasing carries the same self-evident import for the modern, what-about media-fried brain. But scooping up an innocent person who never has any chance whatsoever to explain their innocence before an irreversible punishment? That is a no-brainer.
28/35

kathleenwellman.bsky.social
Or, in his case, innocent when proven guilty!
29/35

phil-stone.bsky.social
Felontrump thinks they are all guilty, or stupid. And he considers himself smart.
30/35

wholegrains.bsky.social
And he believes he’s innocent even when proven guilty.
31/35

sfor4th.bsky.social
No one’s having trouble communicating this. Except you - since you can’t remember to blame Republicans
32/35

gilliesracer.bsky.social
Sadly, Trump believes he should be the only one to be considered innocent and never proven guilty.
33/35

callalily57.bsky.social
I've seen quite a few people respond that that only applies to citizens.
34/35

momchomsky.bsky.social
It needs to be communicated that these people treat the Constitution as an impediment to their natural instincts.

Trump doesn't think he should have to prove anything he believes. If you try to say he's wrong, he threatens you until you let him get his way. He's not a hard person to figure out.... a lot of world leaders already manipulate him and he's unaware.
