Supreme Court strikes down Biden’s Eviction Moratorium

Do you think the government failed to design the rental relief program?

fukk that

The Democratic leadership has no interest in streamlining the process. We’ve known about this for months and they’ve done nothing. People have stop crying about the Republicans when it’s not all them.

I wish they would have put it on the floor and forced a vote ( :troll: ) but they will end up telling on themselves

Finally.

Tenants being in limbo accomplishes nothing except running up more debt.

The system needs to run. Government needs to come up with a working solution.

Hiding the problem behind that moratorium was not the way forward.

Government has appropriated more than double the amount of back rent debt that's out there.

But didn't federalize the response through the IRS. Half that cash woulda been spent by now if they did!

This isn’t about the court

Democratic leadership isn’t interested in doing anything about the upcoming eviction surge.

Well, even if they did, nothing significant is getting past the Senate with the filibuster in place.

So it's the fault of Dem leadership (for not being able to get their party in line) but also people who stayed home in 2016 and let Trump get elected and stack the courts with Republicans.

Basically there's plenty of blame to go around. :yeshrug:

So what's going to happen to all that relief money sent to the states that hasn't been distributed? :jbhmm:

Hoping people don't feel like jumping through the loopholes to get it so it can be repurposed later for something else.

Last I read it was like $46 billion in total and not even a quarter of it has been spent
