I'm just curious even as abysmal as that law is in Texas how come she hasn't just tried to go to like California? Or NM or AZ? I get what she's doing (and the state is disgusting) but if she literally can die from infections or complications get in the car or plane and piece out.

I know it's a huge inconvenience and it's not right at all but at this point if her life's in danger I'm just curious.

And no I am not taking Texas side on this. At all. It's a god-forsaken law. I'm her husband I'm taking the first plane outta town and letting them do whatever at this point and tell them to eat a dikk.

Most people ain’t got crossing the border money unless it’s literally across the border. A bunch of these Republican states are one small town in a vast countryside. And since we don’t have universal healthcare, somebody has to be billed for services.

There will be some kind of paper trail.

Their only option right now is to threaten the physicians.

Oh I get it. Women from high income areas or Susie and John who find out their freshman daughter Janet from University of Texas a freshman got pregnant can put her on the first flight outta town and back by Monday. Poor or less affluent women are stuck.

I won't put it last them but (on paper at least) HIPAA would keep them from getting their pregnancy status. Like legit how would they find out?

This woman by appearances at least seems to fall in the former than the latter so I'm wondering (and not blaming her) if she should just say 'to hell with it' and catch a flight to California. Paxton can't revoke a license of a physician out of state.

You have to come back to make sure it worked and weren’t complications( if there were, you would be found out).

The part Conservatives either are lying about or don’t understand what they are really advocating for is so draconian to the American “ get up and go wherever” and “ right to privacy” to actually implement.

Being a citizen of a state basically means you are subject to its laws even when you aren’t in the state? That’s crazy.
