Batman could systematically destroy the Justice League if he wanted to but he doesn't need to, but if that time comes , why on earth would Batman engage Superman in a fight

Do you really want to get into a "If he wanted to' debate that involves Superman?

Am i the only person that remembers when Superman was tricked into thinking he was fighting a super powered villain but was actually fighting Batman? Superman left his fingerprints embedded in the skin around Batman neck.

He does. But...

Aside from having lasers shooting from his eyes...
And being strong enough to move planets...
And being invincible...
And telepathic...
And being able to sense things thousands of miles away or on a microscopic level...

...Superman can move faster than light. Even without the time-dilation implications of this, Batman wouldn't even know he needed to use kryptonite if Superman wanted to take him out.

Lex Luthor is smarter than Batman and he can't bury Superman.

If Luthor was really smarter than Batman, he would've figured out both their identities as well as all the other heroes and the various other things Batman has figured out....... no offense to Lex though

Superman was holding back the whole time, plus he was weak from the nuke....lets not forget Green arrow helping out................Loved this movie btw

Like I keep saying Batman is the worlds greatest detective, that's the thing he's best at. Lex has always been shown as the Smartest man on earth. Batman is probably more skilled but Lex is and always has been smarter. Batman used his families resources to train himself and study under the most brilliant people he could find, Lex was a genius from day one an depending on the version we're talking about built his own empire.

Any other human would've been dead....

He only survived because of dumb luck. He was chilling in the watchtower, Superman showed up and backhanded him into the watchtowers security console. The watchtower defenses had no effect on Superman but just so happens Wonder Woman showed up and saved Batman's ass.
