not to derail or not a thread worthy (yet) but who do u prefer?
Lalo Schifrin or john barry?

C'mon breh you already know the answer. James Bond is my favorite film character and film franchise so I've heard, imo, his best film work and Barry is an absolute genius and innovator in terms of music, not just film music. The score for on her majesty's secret service is enough to seal that argument even though I do love Lalo and have enter the dragon on vinyl but the Bond stuff is just impeccable and he was consistent with it for 20 years. Much like John Williams, his score is in the DNA of Bond. Anytime they've attempted to stray outside of that DNA, the results have been mixed (Goldeneye, the spy who loved me, skyfall to a degree)

as a kung fu/bruce lee fanatic..enter the dragon is something mesmerising..well it i must credit MR Lee for that too..lol

I could never bring myself to watch game of death minus the bits of it I saw on a special about kung fu flicks on Starz or Encore years ago. Didn't know Barry did the score for it. I love Lalo man his scores are awesome and have a great mix of asian culture and black culture but I think James Barry is the first time I ever really took notice of a film's score and made it my mission to hear as much as I could from the guy. I've got a couple of his bond scores on my iPhone so they're always with me
