I hope this isn't some "Superman lives" made up villain like the giant robotic spiders.

On first watch i wasn't very impressed tbh, felt a bit over-dramatic. Watched it again a couple hours later and thought it was a little better.

I can see why there are CW comparisons, even if a bit hyperbolic. Part of it may simply be not seeing such bright colors/lighting in a comic book movie of this relative importance in a long time. I don't think someone neutral/indifferent to Superman will be won over by this per say but i think the curiosity will be peaked.

something about it lacks real weight. Like I can tell who lives and dies just by the trailer. none of those kids are getting clapped or anyone related to them. all the major players will either survive after a trial or die after saying or doing something overly evil.

Guy Gardner definitely dying so it sets up for John Stewart and the Lantern corps.

Hawkgirl is getting incapacitated so it sets up for the other members of her family later on.

The colors actually seem a bit muted to me.

It's more colorful than Man of Steel but not as bright as the Reeve films (at least based on the teaser).

The full trailer super bowl weekend will determine how good this gonna be. I'm over superman myself, but I'm up for a cool flick, but the big monster thing seems too cliche at this point with all the godzilla shyt. Lex looks wack. But can't get much worse than Eisenbergs version can it?

I like it more after multiple watches . The cinematography does look great and then tv ish in some scenes. Hoult as Lex is the only big question mark for me. He really seems not quite right.

This a justice league movie or a superman movie? He just started the new DCU trying to do an avengers team film immediately is the primary reason the last version of the DECU failed. MCU know how to build up towards these types of movie by introducing everyone in their own shyt first.
