like dude said earlier in the thread DC is rushing this a bit, Marvel has an extensive timeline dating back to iron man 1 to lead to the avengers which made it great.

DC needs to slow down

Batman doesn't need another stand alone movie though. I'm sure that DC has thought about giving everyone their own movie but after seeing the money that their iconic superhero Superman brought (which isn't a lot) they figured movies about the not so iconic heroes would probably not garner the revenue they need.

So instead they add Batman which automatically grabs all TDK fans and hype and helps move towards TJL movie.

Kills two birds with one stone. :ehh:

The Flash movie is unnecessary tbh. I've been trying to use my imagination and figure out if there's anyway that movie would be interesting and I just can't do it.

With Batman being in the film, I'm getting my hopes up that it's gonna be an adaptation of the Lex Luthor: Man of Steel story. I just hope they don't nerf supes to make bruce seem cooler :ehh:

I'm also hoping they'll decide to put out wonder woman / aquaman solo movies before the justice league movie

i read up on this and this is basically Man of Steel 2 with Batman added to it. that's even worse. it's the sequel to Superman's movie for all practical purposes. like i said Batman deserves better than to be tossed into a Superman sequel.
Nah man. That's the perfect way to reinvent Batman. They need to show that Batman, in the new DC movie universe, isn't the Batman in the comics who struggles with muhfukkas like penguin or that Pyg fukker. This is the Batman from the comics solving apocalyptic shyt on the daily fighting alongside Superman. I dunno if you guys realize just how much they need to reinvent Batman to have him as someone who can even be worth a damn in a world with a Superman that's that powerful. Because Nolan's Batman wouldn't work in the slightest

One word... Batgod. The concept has existed for quite some time but was really embraced by Grant Morrison, who said Batman is the most unrealistic character in comics exactly because he has no powers. Superman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman... they all got excuses (read: their powers) to explain why they could possibly survive the stuff they get into. Batman has none of that and that's why the only way he could possibly exist in the same world is if you push him to extremes, him being so obsessed that he has hundreds of contingency plans, and additional contingency plans for when the first contingency plans fail. Someone so well prepared that he can face any threat just because he already thought of the possibility of the threat before it ever arose. It's utterly ridiculous but at the same time it's awesome.

It should also be noted that they have different key strengths. While most people talk about them fighting each other, the coolest would be to see them teaming up together. Batman is stealth, Superman is assault. Batman is planning, Superman is back-up. Batman could also teach Supes how to fight, making Supes more efficient in battle besides his strength levels. At the same time Supes could prepare Batman for the out-of-world stuff he might have to face one day.

I'm sure people called the Iron Man movie unnecessary before it came out too. Flash is about to crush the buildings, brehs...

this movie will be the one that sets the batman franchise back to ground zero batman and robin style

The nolan movies were overrated his input only makes the movies worst, Synder is useless unless he has great source material to pull from

i'd rather see Blur Studios get a chance to make a full featured cgi movie with Batman or the justice league

So they're gonna try to sell me that the world they created in Man of Steel where Superman is really portrayed as a fukking invincible dude is gonna get challenged by a mere mortal like Batman?
