This is about Superior Spiderman not Ultimate Spiderman breh.
Doc Ock makes a better Spiderman than Peter Parker. One might say that Dr. Octavios is the Superior Spiderman.

I think Superior is a great book. I think that above all, it shows that kinda like Batman, there can only be one Spider-Man. Even with the power, abilities and HIGHER intellect, Octavius still wasn't a superior Spider-Man. He lacked the essential human factor.
appreciate it breh. If it's one thing I know, it's Spidey. I'd say the difference though, is that when dikk became Batman, it showed that he would be a different type of batman but because he was trained he could handle the job and Gotham adapted to him and the type of hero he is. If anything it just shows what was hinted at very briefly in Kraven's Last Hunt, which is just what you said: Without compassion, humanity, humility, and love for his fellow man, Ock just can't cut it as Spider-Man. It's great that he's got his Ock Bots and his PhD and every other technological advantage but look at all the stuff he's ignored because of it: MJ's bar is on fire with her inside of it but because he's got an Ock bot on it, she almost dies, gets rescued by someone else and wrecks a friendship. Goblin has been cooking and cooking and has found a way to go under the radar because he can block the signal and by just performing petty crimes that Ock feels is beneath him. And he failed to protect Modell's lab, blackmailed the mayor of the damn city and actually thinks he can control the symbiote

Now I've only read the first TPB of Superior Spider-man but I don't view this the same as the Dark Beast situation. Ock actually did a good job, IMO, he may have even earned himself a 2nd chance. He became a hero or at least an anti-hero.
Otto actually went about it a whole lot smarter than Peter ever had as well. Further, he didn't rape MJ, under the guise of Peter Parker, he dumped her because he knew it was not right for him.
I'm a big Spidey fan but right now I think Peter Parker is my 3rd favorite Spidey. The Freaky Friday aspect was pretty corny but I gotta give it up to Octavius. He was a Superior Spider-Man.
