What random blogger is talking about started years ago when certain nikkas started to get jealous of the money marvel was making and the reality that people enjoyed their product. I didn't see no articles then tho :sas1: it was all good til DC started coming out with critical flop after critical flop :sas2: now we need to watch our words like we in kindergarten :mjlol:
There we have it yall, Marvel stans a bunch of revenge of the nerds ass nikkas, acting like they getting paid of this shyt:mjlol:

Ya better watch ya mouth bc ya know D.C. been running it and now ya got a lil shine don't know how to act less we forget dare devil, electra, fantastic four all 3 of them, 1990s Cap America and so forth.:mjlol:

D.C. keeps the real nikkas fed so Marvel stans know they cross the streets when they see us :birdman:

There has never been a concerted effort to shyt on Marvel's movies by anyone though.
And this really has nothing to do with BvS (for me at least) as much as it has to do with no one really wanting to talk about the movies themselves but instead want to have goofy ass fan wars for no logical reason.

In this "fight" Marvel is IPhone and DC is Blackberry. DC used to be the standard but left an opening that allowed Marvel to get a foothold. They then kept putting out a product that most people like year after year and became the new standard. DC decided to attempt a comeback and spent 3 years hyping their game changing product while Marvel kept dropping a consistently beloved product over that time. Now DC has dropped it's much hyped product and it hasn't lived up to the hype. It could be considered anywhere from mediocre to decent by current industry standards and many people would rather stick with the company that's been feeding them for years.

Bottom line the game has changed and it may have passed you guys by.

Honestly, just screaming batman fans doing typical shyt when it comes to Batman vs anything.

Batman movies came out, Batman is so great and classic cinema and lookit the money and where the oscars and blah blah.

Marvel movies come out, Marvel fans were like "Hey, these shyts is pretty good! :gladbron:"

DC Fans: It ain't as good as Batman! Compare it to batman! Lets talk about it during church service! What? Who's arguing!? We just debating! :troll:"

DC Movies come and go.... including Superman: Both fandoms were just like "They tried. Lets just enjoy them for what they are." And yes, pointing out how any of this is a blanket statement and therefore not true makes you a fukking moron.

Arrow comes out: Batman fans claim it's a ripoff of batman... until batman villains showed up in it.

Agents of shield comes out... Batman Fans loudly point out how its not as good..... as Arrow.

Marvel Wave 2 starts: Marvel fans debate if it's as good as Marvel's First Wave of Movies. DC Fans tell them it's not as good as Batman.

Gotham comes out: "OOOH DC ON A ROLL WE BOUTS TO shyt ALL OVER YALL PUSSEH MARV-" Batman not in it, crowd goes quiet.

The Flash comes out: Hey, it's a great show. No Batman in it, no Batman references, no need to be angry. Folks don't compare it to anything, they just enjoy it.

Jessica Jones and Daredevil come out to much critical acclaim and views. Batman fans claim Daredevil is a Batman ripoff with too many Dark Knight under/overtones.

Hype starts for Batman vs Superman: For some reason, lots of angry shyt talking starts up again, smear campaigns, etc etc as we hear ad nauseum how it's gonna shyt all over anything Marvel has ever made.

B vs S drops: Critics call it everything from manure to average. Greater majority of Superman fans hate it, Batman fans claim it's because DC is too intellectual and Marvel panders to kids cause of Disney, so everyone likes their shyt more.

First week numbers come in: DC (batman) Fans go on about the opening ticket sales being higher than anything Marvel has ever done.

Second week numbers come in: Sales drop 161%.

Today: "Can we please stop all of this unneeded fandom bashing and name calling and meme making!? Stop bullying us DC fans! You're ruining all the fun, guyz! :sadcam:"
Facts :whew:

Good read. And for anyone assuming its just about marvel and Dc, it's not. And this isn't a "random blogger" because screen rant is an actual site with actual press credentials and inside information so let's not act like it's one of us with a blog just writing something. But he makes good points. And it's something thats always been a part of fandom for better or for worse. There's nothing wrong with actual critical analysis because that's how movies and or people get better. But the fanboy shyt is tired and cliche and to the point where cats take it really really personal when someone dislikes something they love or loves something they loathe. So rather than having an intelligent discussion about the flicks and their merits or lack thereof, it becomes a pissing contest or just cats who dislike something just on the basis that it exist.

Oh the jokes thing is cool tho. Like yeah some cats don't take it seriously. I think the point of homie's article though was to the people who DO take it seriously. Like sending death threats seriously (which does happen) or cursing out someone all because they disagree with you

problem is superhero films are so popular now they can make a HUGE profit in the first week of sales before word of mouth even gets around that the movie is shytty.

Yep.There's really no incentive to make a great movie.Just throw in a bunch of iconic/popular characters, drop a flashy trailer, and watch the money pile up.

Jokes on us.They're just feeding off the CBM craze. It's easy money right now.

These so called "event" films like Avengers/BVS.....They're damn near fail proof.

I'm not mad at reviews, but i wanna read 1 batman v superman review without marvel being mentioned. You can make your point without referencing another studio, that's hoe shyt. Not that marvel doesn't have shining examples of what you're talking about, but it isn't worth it if it dilutes the message

There is a concerted organized effort to shyt on DC? :jbhmm: did I miss the meeting? :jbhmm: nikkas been talking shyt for years, on everything. nikkas had no problem pointing out what they didn't like about marvels kiddy films, comedy hours and shytty villains? FF flopped horribly and was shytted on day and night nobody had no problems then. Same with the new Spider-Man's. Now we get articles off of DCs critical flop and nikkas want to use nice words now? The origin of this is jealously that Marvel was getting high praise. Some of it was from contrarian ass nikkas, some from haters, but they've been mad at marvel and people that like marvel for a long time. Now they mad cause people ain't feeling BvS

Yeah there actually has been. From Birth Death Movies to Bleeding Cool to io9 to SuperHeroHype to pretty much any geek-centric site you can think of there has been a a very active anti-DC movie bias for years from the site contributers to the commenters. Its not like its been a secret. Why you are acting like there is the same level of bias towards Marvel I don't quite understand. Marvel pretty much gets overwhelming love from fans and journalists alike. Its DC/Sony/Fox that tends to be shyt on the most.

And most of the shytting on FF came from Marvel stans who used the well-worn refrain of "give the rights back to Marvel" in pretty much every post. Same goes for those Spider-Man movies starring that Garfield dude and even the X-Men flicks.
And my issue isn't really with any of that as much as it with the fact that every post here in The Film Room that has to do with a comic book movie becomes a shytty back and forth between the stans. It is tedious as fukk and not something I am interested in at all.

well golly gosh i guess there really is a conspiracy against DC :troll: man its just so unfair that everyone hates the home of the most popular comic icons for literally decades (batman, superman, ww) :troll:

:camby: with that conspiracy shyt

and in the film room specifically the stan wars didnt really pop off til people that dislike marvel and dc stans started popping shyt. before that nikkas just congregated and talked about how they liked the latest marvel product. DC didnt even have any product for marvel stans to stan against so who was the ones popping shyt? contrarian ass nikkas and jealous nikkas coming in talking about low iqs, kiddy movies and giving slick backhanded compliments whilst hyping up DCs product talking about how a comic movie with a dark, grime, serious tone would be soooooo much better (which hilariously was proven to be wrong with BvS)
