Lombardi Trophies in Allen Park
Sisaket Province in Thailand, and he had to move into Bangkok to escape from poverty when he was only 13 years old. When he arrived in Bangkok, he had to walk more than 60 miles by foot to apply for a job as a trash collector at a department store in order to feed himself. Life was so difficult for him that he sometimes had to eat leftovers he collected from the garbage just to survive.

King Sor is a can't go back all-star. Sometimes people have seen some shyt and going back just isn't an option.

I think what happened is simply a pressure fighter who relies on forward momentum met someone who wasn't willing to back down.
that was the big thing. he wasnt taking turns. he wasnt just being a gentleman and waiting for his turn to punch. he was willing to punch with him. that is the great equalizer. of course you have to be willing to take one to give one to do it. and he was. thats how he got his knock out. you get your hands moving when he gets his hands moving you can make something happen.

people are talking about the weight. thats a factor. but thats a hard style for guys who like to throw a lot of punches. because then you dont have two guys just taking turns in there. you get a war.

Good discussion here. Part of the reason smaller fighters flame out quicker is they don't have the luxury of "testing the waters" and easing into divisions with exhibition fights. To maximize earnings, the best truly fight the best and quickly. That's why a guy like Inoue became a lineal champ in less than 10 fights and already has picked up titles in two different weight classes.

There isn't another fighter currently on the Pound 4 Pound list that's fought in four different weight classes, or faced a fighter on the level of a Cuadras for their first bout in a new weight class. When Manny hit his 4th weight class, his first fight was against the easiest available champ in David Diaz. Floyd did Sharmba Mitchell for his fourth weight class debut. History might have been different if they jumped and went in with the biggest threat available like Nate Campbell or Antonio Margarito.

Even a supreme talent like Ward had the luxury of easing into 175 against guys like Paul Smith, Sullivan Barrera and Alexander Brand. What if he had to jump straight from168 in there against Adonis Stevenson?

lmao at all this tap dancing
Those lower weight classes have no competition and no talent death Chocalito was never p4p level at all, he's style does not translate well at higher weights because he gets his too much, he doesn't have the skill to fight somebody his own weight, he was cutting weight to make those other weight classes

Look at Rigo, he as been fighting guys weighing 20 pounds heavier than him, consistently, he is a legit small guy beating much bigger opponents, he his a p4p fighter because his skills even the playing field with bigger opponents

going from 135 and going to welterweight is WAY different than going from fly weight to super fly weight, for one you are facing bigger guys who walk around much heavier and also its better comp
Manny 4th didn't fight anyone good until he was a featherweight lmao, all those super small weight classes have never been stacked with talent and why manny's titles in those division really don't means shyt

lmao at Margarito being the biggest threat, nobody knew who margarito was, and also Shambra Mitchel had only 1 fight at welterweight before he fought Floyd, he was a tune up for the pay day fight with Judah, he was a southpaw, so it was a fight to get ready for Judah at welterweight
Margarito was never a threat to Floyd, Floyd left Top Rank after the Judah fight and that's when they begin to push that bogey man narrative, Margarito was always way too slow for Floyd especially a 28 year old Floyd, he would've gotten his ass beat bad

Was touch to watch that fight. Really seemed lile despite the controversy, Gonzalez' confidence was shot and Sor's was through the roof. Gonzalez thrives on his confidence, so it was an easy fight for Sor. Still tough to see a champ go out like that but at the same time what an amazing moment for Thai boxers who have always been tough but had next to no major exposure of American soil outside of being tough guys to take good fighters rounds
