Gotta wonder what "southern values" he's talking about. The truth is that most older black voters, particularly in the south vote establishment on autopilot.
They dont know the issues.
They're easily duped.
And they're deeply closed minded.
Baby boomers (both black and white) are fukking this country's future. And the youth are so disengaged that they cannot bother get off their lazy asses and vote. In 10 or 20 years they'll realize the 2020 election (and politics in general) were a matter of life and death. We had the option to vote in a progressive two times and blew it.
It isn't just another 4 years of Trump that's at stake here. Its our environmental crisis. Its the climate crisis. Its the rise of right wing populism. Its the rise of wealth inequality.

What many people fail to realize is that Bernie is the compromise. He is the middle ground. Another 4 years of Trump or a centrist maintaining the status quo will inevitably have grave consequences on ALL the aforementioned issues.

People who are saying thisresult will guarantee Trump re-election are:

1)Underestimating how reviled Hilary was and how Biden is generally liked despite his (alleged) state

2) Willfully ignoring how he’s leading among voters without high school degree i.e. famous Rust Belt swing voters

3) Ignoring how he’d likely ensure strong turnout among suburban swing voters that flipped purple seats in the House

I mean surely there’s a reason for all the Ukraine fukkery the Trump admin has engaged in, and it’s not because they think he’d be a weak candidate. They recognize the same dynamics too

think about what's gonna be behind a biden campaign:

-obama endorsement
-hillary endorsement
-influential celebrities (yeah, that matters ). CNN and the media in general
-probably, dudes like bloomberg and steyer with their money
-the DNC establishment
-Wall Street isn't bailing, like they would if bernie or liz was the nom
-never trumpers, shaming moderates about voting for trump
-biden's VP appealing to a wider demographic than tim kaine (im going out on a limb here)

all against the MAGA base, which is only about 40% of stupid rednecks in this country. and just in general, how TIRED this country is of trump and his bullshyt
