Yes in the end bernie is just too nice and tol concerned about being polarizing (his weakness with black voters) to carry out the revolution context of his campaign.

He fell for the calls for civility and fell for the media/establishment keeping him on the defensive.

I think a successful progressive will have to advance like trump as a republican outsider: press their case with no qualms about what gets destroyed in their wake. Unafraid to piss off political colleagues and opponents, unlike bernie who defended Biden in debates from Steyer and was still called divisive.

Conversely the appetite for revolution isnt quite there and people arent smart enough to change course at the precipice. Folks will have to suffer en masse for things to change

i think that means more to the white vote than anything else. he really needed to make inroads with blacks and castro and socialism isnt really a trigger with us as it is to some cac. it's his lack of a relationship with the dem party which makes him too much of a gamble to old black folk. the dem party means more to large black communities than any party means to any other demo, and bernie is trying to somehow win around that. all the party has to do is get its local leaders out to endorse, have people doing "souls to the polls" stuff and it's a wrap.
