Can somebody explain what makes this a great fighting game? I'm looking into getting a wii u. And this is one of the highly touted games for it. I played Smash Bros back in the day a few times, and never got the appeal of it. I was always falling off the damn stage, and it was just general madness happening all over the place. I didn't expect it to be Street Fighter or anything or even knew it was as big as a "fighting game" as it is. Hell one my homies who games, said it's very big in tournaments..

Maybe I'm missing something.

But could someone explain what makes this great?

It's fukking fun, it's different, you can beat up your favorite nintendo characters as other nitendo characters and oh it's fun.

Once you get past that, the meta game can get very deep but again it's not "like" a regular fighting game but it can still get deep. If you don't like it before, you might still not like it.

To me personally smash was always just a genuine fun game that can be played casually with friends or played competitively. I guess one of smash biggest selling point is all the content wrapped with some nostalgia . Mind you the game is not nearly as complex as some fighters are it does have a lot of depth and strategy within it.

Especially with the different tournaments I've seen some people do some crazy shyt.

Man I can't believe how good the netcode is :blessed:. I remember how :flabbynsick: the online was in brawl. I was always :sadcam: whenever I play against my pals , worrying about lag and lag spikes. When I played smash 4 for the first time wireless I was like :scust: :sadcam: then one of my friend was like  use an usb. When I hooked up my usb I was like :ohhh: :whoo: :ooh:. Playing ffa with four peeps and there's barely any lag :lawd: :whew: :banderas:
