I finally picked a main... Roy. :banderas:

He’s a good balance of speed, range, and knockout power
Roy got buffed big time. I love it, he was my main in Melee for a long time.

Unfortunately, he's nowhere to be found in WoL until way later so I have to use the inferior Marth for the time being. I hate the tipper mechanic. I like playing Roy rushdown but you do that with Marth and his damage is shyt. The tipper is too specific. Granted, Roy has his sweet spot too but you will hit it more often than not if you play him aggressive.

The 8-4 and fiery moats
Finally got some time to get some online matches in lol.

Friend code: SW-2085-0831-2334

I’ve been playing with a few characters: Link, Ike, Simon, Wolf, Roy, and Cloud. Still trying to figure out who I’m gon main. Think I might rock with Ike and Cloud for now. Might have to drop Link for a while, been my main since 64 Smash but just not feeling him like that anymore :mjcry:

Also, for those with connection issues/lag still, try these steps I found online. They helped me out so far (have to use a wireless connection for now since you need an adapter for an Ethernet port for the Swirch :shaq2:)

Simply open your system settings > Internet > Internet Settings > Select the connection you are using > Change Settings > and then scroll down to MTU. Select this with the A button and change the number to 1500, which is the default for most networks in the world.

The Switch’s default settings have the MTU at 1400. Don’t know why :hubie:

Been messing with the World of Light mode this afternoon. Looks decent but has some difficulties. I like how the created it tho as an rpg with battles. Took the right path at the fork, the one that had Ness ended up getting Link and got him as my fighter now.

Yo how the fukk do you practice this game? I think the reason I've always had issues with Smash is that i feels like a frantic mess with all of the variables that come into play during a match.

It's hard to set up a practice environment that emulates real matches

what do you mean? Just set up a exhibition match, turn off gimmicks, items and final smashes in the settings menu that pops up before you actually get into the stage/character selection screen.

Or go to training mode.
