Which reminds me...why the hell are there like 10 characters from Fire Emblem and about 6 of them are echoes?

6? Thought it was just Lucina and Marth. But a lot of them came in with the Wii U smash, which got some people heated. Corrin pisses me off tho.

The only character here that plays significantly different than the rest is Robin.
Not sure why Nintendo chose to have so much Fire Emblem representation.
There are a number of characters they could have used to replace some of the redundancies of these characters.

I was hoping for Alucard to make an appearance.
That long list of characters starts to look significantly smaller when you remove the echo characters and any characters that share similar moves.

Still a fantastic game though. I just wish they mixed characters up a bit more and gave them significant differences.

I've changed it so a + b are attack, y grabs, X to jump, left shoulder buttons block and right shoulder buttons grab

• Richter Belmont (66ε) - Simon Belmont's Echo Fighter

There are 7 total echo fighters and they are not all FE characters.

Roy is not an echo fighter(he always played differently than Marth. Even back to the Melee days Roy played differently. They share a few similar moves and then ones that do have different attributes. Anyhow they are not echo fighters.

Nah but jokes aside the game is fun as hell and the SP is the best of the series so far from what I've seen. The World of Light mode is like a lite rpg take on Smash Bros with themed battles/conditions from "spirits" which are basically images of characters across various games and franchises. Classic mode is themed after individual fighters games.

i feel like i'll forever be trash in this game. i can't stop my button mashing habits and the short hop to fast fall mechanic has always been tough for me.

Marth and roy are essentially the same character except roy is slower, has fire and his sweetspot is diff. He might as well be an echo.

The FE characters that dont play anything like each other are marth, ike, corrin (and thats a stretch) and robin.

The rest might as well be echoes of marth.
