I was around on the GameFaqs forums in the months leading up Brawl being released. The pro-Ridley playable in Smash crowd has been waiting for this and been mind-boggingly loud, passionate and obnoxious about their Ridley thirst for over a decade.

Im gonna beat all of yall here. Didn't like smash 4 that much for a number of reasons. Mainly due to the removal of ledge guarding/Characters lasting too long(Literally all characters lasted as long as snake did in brawl. Can only imagine how frustrating fighting snake is gonna be in this new one) and the severe lag after aerials.
While ledge trumping is still there the fact that there is alot less lag on aerials and more movement options make me want to come back. I was never big on melee so i don't really need wavedashing or anything. But proper movement is still a must and that's what brawl had.

Brawl is the worst because mobility was so messed up. You really gonna tell me Brawl’s floatiness and tripping.made for the better fighter?
It's weird I didn't play Smash Wii U as long as I expected. I think the terrible online button lag and the lacking single player modes made me not play it very long. I played it heavy for like the first several months up until Cloud released but then stopped. It was better than Brawl though. Brawl I liked the SP offerings but the gameplay being floaty and tripping was wack. Melee was the goat gameplay wise and my most played game probably ever. I must've clocked in 1000 hrs in that game.
This game from what I heard/seen is much faster and plays better than the previous two games so good SP and excellent online will keep this in my rotation for years.
