I mean cloud is good but the patch didn’t really fix the main issues he had. He is good but he is still not better then Lucina, Shulk or Roy.

Shulk is like ken and ryu. Ppl keep saying how “technically” good he is but no one is putting in the results. I agree shulk is borderline broken when played correctly but it’s like why would anyone put in the time with shulk when they can play Lucina or Roy?
Cloud was already brain dead Easy and now he’s easier lol

Just hopped online for the first time ever (just got a Switch last month and been focused on trying to pick a main before I work on getting better).
I am fukking TRAAASH at this game
Beyond garbage
But hey, after cycling through like 8 mains in the last 30 days I have settled on Donkey Kong. I don't care if he sucks, he has the hypest moveset and is fun so I'm rolling with him.
Going to spend the next 30 days trying to improve my movement and muscle memory before I worry too much about going back online.

He (Kome) has gotten great results in the U.S. too
If MkLeo picked up Shulk it would be OVER. All them early percent combos people are forced to eat? Not on Shulk

There have been some results with Shulk that was mentioned above. Shulk has some insane kill confirms. I believe Buster down-throw -> Smash air-slash. And also his shield art is one of the best options in the game mainly due to the fact that he can punish moves that would be safe on any other character in the game. Lastly, I don't think a comparison to Ryu and Ken is fair due to the fact that if you know how to space with Shulk you will at least do ok. Ryu and Ken are low tiers if you don't understand how to perform their inputs and combos correctly.
Although I do agree Lucina is better for the same reason she is better than Marth. The fact that she is so consistent. Her only difficult part is being good at playing neutral, which relies on having super strong fundamentals.
Cloud, Roy and Chrom lowkey can all be seen as braindead characters versus the other swordies being much much tougher to play as imo.

You can make it work breh. You’re always gonna be better off playing a character that’s fun for you than trying to force yourself to get good with a top tier just because. Practice your movement and recoveries in training mode, and watch footage of other good DK players and you’ll improve pretty efficiently. Obviously playing good competition will force you to get better as well.

I think Zackray could have won if he would have played all ROB, but he kepy switching characters to ones he isn't as good with
