I don't know if it was like this for you guys but I remember black people started messing with Mark Wahlberg after Four Brothers came out. I remember people say, "I knew Marky Mark was real, and not fake like Vanilla Ice."

I honestly didn't know much about Mark Wahlberg's past until about 6 years ago after hearing word of mouth from someone online.
Hell, some people probably still don't know.
I assume like many Black people, my introduction to him was through Four Brothers so I had no idea about his music career let alone the racist shyt but once I learned it changed my view of him these days.
With that said I never was a big fan in the first place just always remembered him from Four Brothers and maybe another movie.
