My Pops Forever RIP
Sign and trade him in the off-season, the have his bird rights.

Y'all overestimating Dre's market, outside of OKC and Cleveland, nobody will have the money to pay him next year. Also, both OKC and Cleveland are rebuilding, so I doubt both will make a run at signing him.
I could see OKC make a run after him if they don't get Chet in the draft

That's a terrible deal for Phoenix as Turner has been stagnant as a player for years now, where as Ayton has more potential offensively and defensively.
Ayton lacks aggression & heart.I'd just like to see the Suns with an actual offensive threat at center.Someone who can go ISO & stretch the floor.Ayton's a better defender when he's locked in, but admittedly, I've always been skeptical of this guy.He has "Get paid & tank it" oozing out of his pores. He came into league saying his biggest goal was to make it to a 2nd contract.I detect fool's gold with this fella.

If that's what you're looking for, then look elsewhere as Myles Turner isn't it :russ:

Jokic
Embiid
KAT
AD*

Those are the only centers that fit that description and who're unequivocally better than Ayton, and needless to say, they're not options for the Suns. Perhaps you'd like to have a big man that provides that for your team, but Ayton is the best you're realistically going to have/get for the foreseeable future. This is a simple case of just playing the hand that you're dealt, because you're not going to get a card better than him.

How many Centers can create their own shot besides Embiid?

I can’t think of any besides Embiid and maybe Hakeem

The posts I see on here :wow:
Name some
Shaq couldn’t. Neither could Kareem
You really ignored Jokic, KAT, Vuvceic and Bam?

And that’s just centers in this season
Forgot about them.. Jokic? ok maybe… KAT? … I guess but these dudes can shoot 3s but are these guys taking people off the dribble consistently? I don’t think so. Bam maybe but he’s not a true center he’s a PF
This is a logout and never log back in again ever offence.

Nowhere does he say Chris Paul "made him" or anything that insinuates as such.

But you already knew this, and quoting my post only further proves my point about muh'fukkas trying to give unwarranted credit to CP3.

The entire article literally states from own Ayton's words what CP3 has done to elevate his game and make him a better player :unimpressed:

That's not making him.

That's helping him become better and/or instilling belief to help maximize his abilities. It's just generic shyt that you hear from young players talking about their experienced/veteran teammates. You've got Suns fans in here arguing that Ayton is the same player now than before CP3 was on the team, so it makes zero sense to argue CP3 is responsible for the player he is:
Ayton lacks aggression & heart.I'd just like to see the Suns with an actual offensive threat at center.Someone who can go ISO & stretch the floor.Ayton's a better defender when he's locked in, but admittedly, I've always been skeptical of this guy.He has "Get paid & tank it" oozing out of his pores. He came into league saying his biggest goal was to make it to a 2nd contract.I detect fool's gold with this fella.
I've been his biggest critic.I don't trust players with self motivation/motor issues.I've watched damn near every game since he got to the league.90% of the time,he had me pulling my hair out. He'd play timid, give low effort, and completely turn invisible. His playoff performance was like an anomaly. He played really well in most of the games. He still had games where he turned invisible, but nothing like the regular season.I felt like his heart turned back into a pumpkin vs Giannis.I seriously believe he has the size & athleticism to be more effective defending Giannis, but he lacks the heart, and mental toughness to live up to his potential at times. If you're just as big & athletic, with decent effort, you can get in Ayton's head. The only 1st tier center I've seen him play well against is Jokic.I think Jokic being so slow & plodding makes it easier for Ayton to wrap his mind around that match up.He's kryptonite to Jokic.During the playoff run, the Lakers, and Clips had 3rd tier centers. The Nugs had Jokic, but I've already explained that one.He didn't really face a big who could physically/mentally intimidate him until Giannis in the Finals. Before the playoff run, there was rumblings about James Jones not being all that fond of Ayton.I still think they'll end up paying him, tho.
Here a Suns fan is stating nothing has changed from when Ayton first came in the league to now. His skillset, talent, mentality and idiosyncrasies were already there and hard-wired before CP3 even landed in Phoenix.

And I should hope a multi-All Star/All-NBA player helps elevate and mentor young players. That was half the reason the Suns brought in CP3, to help lead the young, inexperienced players. But how could anyone possibly argue that CP3 made Ayton, let alone use what Ayton said as evidence of being so? Giannis has spoken about how PJ Tucker was instrumental in making him a better player and understanding the nuances of the game.

You gonna start arguing that Tucker made Giannis?

That's rhetorical. Now stop quoting me.
