Sounds like cheap ass Robert Sarver trying to take advantage his his good and seemingly very passive nature.

He’s not a guy like Trae or Luka were your grinning your teeth with the checkbook the first day you can give it so it opens up the possibility. But he knows he’d look like a bytch if he doesn’t stand firm for it. Suns are probably counting on the fact that if they can’t save a few dollars the kid is too nice to hold bad blood.
