You know
This was way better than I was expecting. The footage is pretty thorough so it really helps you feel like you’re there. MLK Jr’s assassination and the riots were fresh in everyone psyche…and you could feel and see itin the performances. Mahalia Jackson and Mavis Staples performance along with Jesse Jackson’s monologue about the last few moments of MLK’s life….:to: I don’t think I’ve been so moved from any film.

Stevie Wonder was incredible.

fifth dimension was dope

it’s a damn shame this was shelved for all these years.

this is essential American black history…it’s a must see if you have Hulu
I hope this film is released on video

Finally checked it out. I swear I smiled the entire time. I'm in the middle of a Sly binge and the tail end of that performance was excellent. That Mahalia Jackson piece damn near had me :to:
Shoutout to ?uest
