I've only seen Mad Max: Fury Road so far this summer and I'd agree with OP on it.

it was decent but doesn't deserve all the praise it gets.

Tom Hardy had a couple good roles and now everyone puts him on a pedestal. :mjlol:

So he does not deserve the recognition he's getting?

IMO FF7 didn't live up to the hype. I don't watch those Marvel movies, so I couldn't care less about Ultron or whatever it's called. San Andreas was just another 2012 movie with the Rock. And it sucked. Mad Max is the only movie out so far this summer I liked. Jurassic Park will be the king of the box office though until Star Wars comes out at Christmas. You are right though, it's been a pretty underwhelming summer so far.
I don't think JP is surpassing FF7 let alone AOA bruh. Definitely not surpassing AOA.

We'll see. I don't watch box office numbers like that. I hope JW does better than FF7 though. If it doesn't it should come close.
All depends on that opening weekend, especially in the summer since there's more competition. It could pass FF7, JW seems to be building a lot of hype so u may be right. I would guess 275-320 range.

Mad Max was tremendous, Furious 7 and Age of Ultron were both enjoyable popcorn flicks and San Andreas was even worth the watch. It had a better cast and better effects than those other disaster movies.

It's been a great Summer so far. :manny:

This is how I feel. I didn't see San Andreas but I'm seeing Spy this week and definitely catching insidious 3 this weekend. So far, I'm more than content with this summer.

:patrice:I liked Mad Max but I wouldn't call it a classic by any means. I thought it was a really good movie but I feel like it's getting a little gassed up if people are saying its a classic.

San Andreas was :trash:. All I'll say on the topic.

Avengers 2 was better than I expected tbh:manny:. I hated the first one. Didn't think this one was bad. Thought it was pretty good. I know I'm in the minority on that

I'm also in the minority on my thoughts on Tomorrowland. Thought it was a great PG movie. A little too heavy handed on the "save the rainforest" type moral points but I thought it had a solid message.

Overall is say the summer movies have been about average:yeshrug:. Not awful or great
