For all the shyt E3 gets, they put on better shows and were better for the industry. It did a good job of getting you excited and reinvigorated in games
Exactly. The business practices of the ESA, and how they manage membership are shyt, but the base concept of E3 is still effective.
Having most, if not all, of the game industry in one place, and then having them stick to a schedule for their presentations really does force these companies to examine their showcase layouts and timing. This was definitely a case of Geoff committing to a bit, and then not having the means to really pull it off.
