Summer of 1992, I had just turned 14. I remember vividly riding around Newark, shotgun in my man Big Mustafa's then new black AC legend, with the beige interior, bumping Pete Rock and Cl Smooth's Mecca and The Soul Brother, Gang Starr's Daily Operation, EPMD's Business Never Personal, Redman's Blow Your Mind maxi single, Dr. Dre and Snoop's Deep Cover maxi single, Mob Style's The Good, Bad, and Ugly, and the latest Ron G tape that was out at the time.
