Early reviews seem to be bad and people are claiming Marvel paid off critics. Just like they claimed Marvel did with BvS. My question is if critics can be bought, why won't WB write a check?
As I said... my friend went to the screening and she loved it. But critics have their own agendas regardless of if they really liked it or not, no different from many media pundits. BvS, regardless of how any one of us felt was rated TOO harshly and at times unfairly over things that had little or nothing to do with the film itself. Especially in comparison to other films that's been released that were given more of a pass. I personally felt that Civil War was an EQUALLY flawed film with it's main two saving grace being Black Panther and the airport scene... but Disney seem to know how to pamper their screened critics. They go high and beyond making them feel welcomed and give them the full experience, even try to give the critic bloggers who are mostly a bunch of nobodies on Youtube some recognition, because they know the influence they could have in setting people's minds as well. And they don't this better than any other studio...which is why they tend to GET a pass on things that's hypocritical that any other studio gets criticized.
That's the fundamental issue. If the critics go to a theater and not given the same kind of LOVE by the studio, it sometimes affects their viewing experience and in the end affects how they'll write their movie review. WB has been known as not spoiling their screening critics with trinkets and gifts or anything that makes them feel the full experience prior to and after viewing the film.
