Nobody knows yet since she's never been part of the Suicide Squad in the comics. Katana's a member of The Outsiders, a clique of unlikely superheroes originally brought together by Batman. So it's possible in the movie that she's undercover in the team on order of Bats, or maybe they introduce her as a villain who becomes a hero later on. It's hard to say at this point.
Harley Quinn's sexiness comes mostly from her demeanor, like the famous "Don'tcha wanna rev up your Harley?" scene, and that shyt was just a cartoon.
