Illusory displays of prosperity most people can’t experience, in social media and other mediums, pervade our daily lives. Wages have stagnated while wealth has exploded for a minority of elites shielded from social accountability thanks to politicians who are the paid guardsmen of their fortunes. When a man or woman realizes he or she will probably be broke for the remainder of time and spend each day desperately trying to stay afloat while islands of affluence loom in the unreachable distance, it only follows that suicide becomes more appealing.

Suicide rate way lower when men was men and women was women
The world views upside down, no hard lessons taught at young ages anymore, “everyones a winner” in sports at young ages now but life will teach them in their 20s that was all a lie, anti straight men propaganda via million dollar ad campaigns like Gillette ads, etc
You add in social media with kids who grew up softer/coddled than ever in history of man kind, its easy to see why the rates are high
Its a confusing, fukked up world we living in now.
Im an 80s baby. If you would of told me in any other decade ive been alive before this decade (80s, 90s, 2000s and now 2010s) their would be a major push for grown mentally ill men to share public bathrooms with young girls, and that youd be labeled a bigot if you argue against this movement, id be calling you crazy
But here we are. In a world where public figures with millions of followers can tweet “trans women are biological women” which is factually wrong but 50k people agree with it
In a world where cost of living is possibly the worst its ever been. Just getting by and getting a home at a relative young age seems almost impossible
Same world where the most powerful (allegedly) nation in the world has so many millions of complete idiots living in it that we elect someone like Donald fukking Trump to be president it seems like one big hoax/inside joke we are missing out on everytime i see his face on TV
The world is in a weird place. In all ways. I can see why these people fold under todays pressure. Ill never respect it though.

Stems from all these weirdo “soccer moms” that let their sons wear heels and make up at 5 years old cause “he can be whatever he wants to be” and throws fits if he dont get a participation trophy even if he comes in last place playing sports
