All food is transported:skip:

yeah it is but youre ignoring my point that subway buys and sells the absolute bottom of the barrel quality of stuff in order to still make a profit off of something they can sell for $2.
one day as you are dying from cancer surrounded by your family be sure to tell them all the stories about the $2 subs you bought

That's how most businesses make money. All companies are in the business of making money. Why would ANY company sell high quality products at an affordable rate and lose money? If they did that they wouldn't remain in business it's all about the comeback.:mjpls:

are you using capitalism as a way to defend eating crappy quality food?:why:

the general rule with restaurants is that they charge 3 times the actual cost of ingredients to set their prices. thats why you go to a store and see a steak for $5-$6 and then you go to a steak house and that same steak is $15-$20.

i dunno how subway runs their business but like you said no business is going to lose money. so it costs them maybe around 67 cents to make that sandwich. now think about how much a gallon of gas costs, think about how much food costs in the store. you just have to realize you are eating grade D quality everything when you are eating off any sort of fastfood value menu. look at the tin of yellowish/brownish lettuce the next time you are in subway. yuck.

Most businesses use the same model repetition is success. Either eat it or don't :manny:

NOTE: I live in Harlem, NY. The Subways here offer a deal on NFL FOOTBALL SUNDAYS whether you have a coupon in hand or NOT.

the deal:
ON AN NFL FOOTBALL SUNDAY,
if you buy any footlong sub + 30 oz drink,
then you will get a free footlong sub.

Subway is an official [something] of the NY Football Giants, so it might be a NY Subway deal. Call your local Subway to confirm.

I would upload the photo from yesterday's receipt, but I can only link pics via URL to this website.

I dunno why yall make any threads about food items or drinks on this site.

You know the phony hipsters are gonna come in and turn up their nose and say "fast food, :scusthov: I aint eat that in 11 years"

"just go to a local place, the food is always better"

"i only eat fresh and healthy food 100% of the time"

Yes we know, and people eat at these places out of convience and price.

alright i want you to think about how much 1 gallon of gas costs. now consider all the work it takes to to get all the ingredients for the sandwiches to a subway restaurant. flour to make bread dough, meat (animals gotta be killed cut up and cooked), vegetables need to be farmed. Now all these ingredients have to be shipped by truck throughout the country (remember the cost of 1 gallon of gas?).

so for them to sell you a sandwich for $2-$5 and still make money you gotta come to the realization that they are using the absolute cheapest, worst quality everything. that ad campaign with the fat guy who got skinny has your head all messed up, like yeah you can say subway is healthy but only if you are comparing to a place like mcdonalds.

idk personally i would rather go to a local place and pay $9 for a good sandwich with fresh ingredients thats going to taste delicious plus i can have the satisfaction that i just didn't eat a bunch of chemical laced bullshyt food. you can feel the difference.

You could have just said you dont understand supply contracts and bulk purchases and saved your self from typing. They using the same shyt your local mom and pop shops is, you think them local spots are not trying to save money and cut corners.

:pachaha:
