Why would CHI or anyone else take him at this point?

Because a team like Chicago is working under a closing window. They need Rose at full strength to have a shot to come out of the East, and they need ANOTHER scorer to have a chance at a championship. A Rose/Melo/Whoakim core gives you that shot.

Unless they think Rose is done, and they're ready to start planning around life without him.

Yall know Dolans gonna force Phil to give Melo the Kobe Max :mjlol:

Nobody has TOTAL control under Dolan under no circumstances will he allow the Knicks to bottom out without Melo next year

because he is still a great player (top 3 offensively and decent defensively) and they might as well go for it since It won't kill them asset wise. so if it fails they won't be destroy them and they as a ball club just need one piece. If :deadrose: can stand on 2 feet long enough to play a Wade type role to melo, and Noah they could be a better team overall.

Knicks are on the other hand not there, and won't be for 2-3 years into Melo's next contract on top of the fact the knicks have already instituted a reset cap wise for the team. Its not like keeping him ensures we'll be better than losing him. Also this injury helps the knicks if they want to trade him because you know Melo will want that 5th guaranteed year now, even if doesn't take on a Kobe Max.

Also Reinsdorf is not going to want to pay 16 million to boozer to play for another team. Dude is wayyyyyyy to cheap to do that.
On the flip man I'm not going to fron if the knicks decide to keep Melo:salute:come 2015 we going for that chip.

What good is a great player if he keeps getting injured? Especially if he goes to team with another franchise player that keeps getting injured? One thing I will say is, above-the-waist injuries are very low risk.

Why ask a question if you know the answer?

When you think your window might be closing, you try to capitalize on waning time.

Somebody is going to give Carmelo Anthony a Max Deal - if you're asking "Why?" You're asking the wrong fukking question.

The question is "Who?" And then depending on that answer, the follow-up is "What's next for the Knicks?"

That's all that matters. Stop arguing that he's not worth a max. His career and GM's with money beg to differ.

Stat is looking like a beast out there. No jynx, but maybe he can finally have a strong comeback season next year, especially if Melo leaves.

You can't trust him ever again to contribute any real minutes. But the next team to sign him for MUCH MUCH less money is going to get good value. He can still bully around the basket and score for a team in spurts.

Yep..... Did he get the same "treatment" Kobe got on his knees?
