Yeah what y'all fail to realize is having money is simply not enough. The Owners have to vote you in and approve of you to own a team and join their "good ol boy club". Ask @Originalman he can speak on it.

Yep homie there have been a list of black folks who tried to buy teams and where shut out.

shyt MJ went around the country trying to buy a team and the white owners would suddenly take the team off the market once MJ showed up with the money.

Same shyt happened with Magic when he tried to by the pistons and the Seattle supersonics.

It is the same story time and time again.

As others have said, no need for a study. I really hope black players flood the QB position in high school, that should be every black high school players top choice, that's where the money is, not only inside the game but outside the game, brehs have to take that position serious.

It fluctuates from one month to the next :manny: Dre is up there to.

The point is there are enough wealthy black people to at least try and buy franchises but it's not working. The mentality isn't there. Black peoples have been conditioned to become wealthy as ball players or entertainers. As long as there are mostly white owners they will continue to hire people that look and act like them.

And college ball is where it's starts. Which brings me back to black players choosing white schools over HBCU's. That's where a lot of these white coaches get started in the first place. So if they're already recruiting and coaching the best black players why wouldn't they get positions to coach them at the pro level. Black players or at least the majority of them are comfortable looking up to white coaches.
Becoming an NFL owner might be one of the toughest processes in sports today. You can't just buy a team, no matter how much money you have.

The NFL players should have be able to hold some leverage. I would hope that the union does something further with this information.

I don't know about all a that shyt you just said
David Stern didn't do shyt.
MJ got rejected so viciously by Milwaukee (Herb Kohl), Hornets/Pelicans (George Shinn) and Wizards (Abe Pollin) after the teams were up for sale, it made you realize that ownership is the ultimate white sphere. It's almost like he got too close to the sun. He looked real bad, especially after getting publicly humiliated like a bum by Abe Pollin in Washington.
Bob Johnson lost half in his nasty divorce (his ex-wife even married the court judge shortly after it was finalized). Dude had issues and the Bobcats were horrible, losing money. But he didn't realize that owning a pro team is like sitting on a gold mine... Now the Bobcats/Hornets are worth twice as much as in 2007.
Basically, it was a panic sale and MJ took advantage of it... Still, it's amazing that's what it took for MJ to finally get a team.

But speaking generally, we see that in corporate boards and other positions of leadership in every aspects of US society.
Obama, MJ and Oprah are basically tokens, completely unrepresentative of the reality of white power dominance.

Some of the breh's already spoke on it...it ain't about money...you have to belong to groups like the Malta's to even be considered...and it hard enough for CAC's to belong to that group...never mind a Breh...Kraft and Rooney are Malta's...they do stuff that is off the books..ain't no way a group of rich black entertainers pooling their money together is going to enter that group...they not sharing secrets with nikkas....

:salute: Let these CaCs know....it may be a good look for the NBA to have Michael as an owner...but the other owners were not having it...folks gotta remember, a lot of owners do not like Michael and the purchasing power he had with Nike...Reinsdorf can't stand him..which is why Paxson is still there till this day fukking up the team in the front office while Mike is wearing wide leg pant jeans in Charlote....the brass did everything they could to intervene in the sale of that team and prevent Mike from getting a piece...fukk how high he jump..you can't jump into white skin anytime you feel like it....

Kinda sad that MJ had to basically swindle another black man to get a team though:francis:

Yeah, shyt is pretty much a country club for wealthy cacs
You also need to be relatively clean, uncontroversial (at least publicly).
Remember when that fat cac Rush Limbaugh tried to buy the Rams after the McNabb shyt? They shut it down quick after black players and the media got news of it. Suddenly, they realized that he brought too much bad publicity.
The owners probably would've approved it if the story didn't blow up.:aicmon:
