Makes a lot of sense seeing how f*d up, b*tchmade, and all around unhealthy most people seem to be these days. Yeah, the end times are near :wow: There will be no resistance to the NWO

I used to work with a guy who had a bad oxy problem. He would spend probably 150$ a day on that shyt be snorting it up at his cubicle :snoop:

Currently working with a guy who is on the same path but he is at the stage where he snorts a few percs a day and doesn't even think he has a problem but if he stopped for a couple days he'd get withdrawal.

Its too bad because they are both good dudes but it's not my place to be breaking it to them that they need to get their shyt together especially because I am much younger.

shyt is sad.

How come the Chinese and Asians who live longer than almost any race on earth don't need all these pills to survive? I struggle to understand this...

Its a cultural thing. America is the richest society on the planet, yet we don't appreciate what we have over here. This is obvious in the fact that even some of the most crime-ridden areas in the United States look indistinguishable from middle class areas. Seriously, most of Compton looks nice as f#ck. I'm from a Cali hood myself and my old way looks hella nice too. People in America don't know what third world poverty smells like let alone looks or feels like. One billion people in the world don't even have access to clean drinking water. :wow:

Even though America has the highest standard of living in the world, we have the highest rates of depression. Millions of American people are miserable. Americans, regardless of race, have weaker bonds to family, friends and other people, in general, because American culture places a huge emphasis on self reliance and independence. America can be a very cold place because of this. Add to the fact that our society is extremely polarized along the lines of race and class which drives people crazy. Asians, Africans and Latin Americans put a much higher value on family and community than Americans of any race. On top of that, America is a spiritually impoverished society. Weak bonds to others and a nonexistent relationship with God is setting the table for people to abuse drugs and alcohol as an outlet. In addition, the current fukked up state of the economy is causing people to turn to alcohol and other substances as an escape. America has the widest income inequality in the developed world, so countless numbers of people who can't "make it" for what ever reason end up becoming professional drug addicts.

Also, America is a country overrun by unhealthy addictive products which contributes to a comparatively lower life expectancy. Think about it. Almost everything legal is unhealthy and insanely addictive. Many people work sedentary jobs and eat nothing but fast food. This is the reason why the obesity rate has skyrocketed in the past thirty years. Alcohol, the most used and abused legal drug in America, has also been proven to be the most dangerous drug period, worse than even crack and heroin. Millions and millions of life spans are shortened due to the ac right. Cigarettes are extremely addictive and will give you cancer. Soda tastes good and is very addictive but will give you diabetes. The list goes on. The American lifestyle can be toxic and unhealthy.

The truth is that if more American people had a strong relationship with God and had strong relationships and friendships with others, there would be much less drug abuse in this country. :youngsabo: But the opposite is true. The divorce rate is hella high, a huge percentage of Americans don't have any close friends and our society as a whole is deeply agnostic and borderline atheist.

I only think it all comes down religion, in a society where people belive God is in control do not resort to abusing drugs..we are reaping the "benefits" of removing God from our way of life.

Well, the article was short and didn't go into what was prescribed. Not all drugs are an addictive narcotic. A lot of people take prescription strength allergy medication because OTC version is not strong enough. I take prescription strength skin medication for a skin issue I have. A lot of people in the US are overweight and/or eating less healthy and require high blood pressure medication and cholesterol lowering medication.
For whatever reason, a lot more children have allergies nowadays and they are prescribed allergy meds like an Epi-pen.
Older people take a lot of medications related to declining health. They aren't addicted to it. If they don't take it, they are going to be kicking it soon.

The article seemed to be beating the bushes around people who are prescribed medication in the long-term, but wasn't putting in specific numbers. Lazy author.
If you get a surgical procedure done, you are going to be prescribed pain medication. How many people get surgeries?
That's different than someone who is going through illegal channels to get prescription medication, i.e. stealing prescriptions, forging prescriptions, getting prescriptions from a doctor who is writing false prescriptions for patients to make quick money.

That's amazing considering that most of the world doesn't have the access or necessity to use these meds. They're really luxury narcotics, i mean, my nose is stuffy so i need this or my knee is achy so i need that.

Americans typically don't like looking for natural solution or adjusting their lifestyles. My doctors try to prescribe me all types of random bullshyt when i go sometimes.. i think they're just trained to do that now.

This is true. :salute:

It is no coincidence that every single 12-step program dedicated to treating serious substance abuse and addiction involves "turning your will and your life over to the power of God as you understand him". :blessed:

Its sad that God has become played out in our society. These same programs that help millions of people overcome their overpowering life destroying addictions also claim that "no human power could help them overcome their addictions". That's right. There is no magical man-made pill to stop you from popping pills (which is obviously an oxymoron), sticking a needle in your arm or getting sloppy drunk every other night.

But our corporate controlled society would love us to think otherwise. Big global corporations like Apple, Nike, Jordan, Ralph Lauren, Mercedes etc. want us to believe true happiness lies in material things and the illusion of material prosperity. When these material things don't make us happy, many of us turn to drugs and alcohol. And these things have a high probability of ultimately killing you or ruining your life sooner or later. :rip:
