As for actually gaining useful knowledge? No chance
This is what I don't get, all my Professors gave me insight to a different prospective that I didn't see before.
If anything they put me up on game on things like who the are elite, how America came to power, all the coups the CIA has down and the blowback (9/11).
Sure, hypothetically I could have read all this on my own, but that is highly unlikely due, to the fact that I wouldn't know where to start. And at first glance this information would have seemed like some grand conspiracy.
The knowledge is what you make.....
Back to the point.
What I'm trying to figure out is, what goes through a person's mind when they go about choosing a major. Lets use art history as an example. The degree itself may be piff, but what kind of job prospects did they have in mind afterwards. Did they ever consider double majoring in something like business, finance or economy, then launching their own art store or writing books?
To be more specific what were they planning on doing with a degree in Art History. Common sense should tell you that majoring in Art History doesn't entitle you to a job at J.P. Morgan.....
Sometimes you have to do little side job, until you can get your business fully up and functioning....
