Maia has to be number 1 when it comes to mma.

Roger, Jacare, and Marcelo are 1a 1b and 1c when it comes to straight bjj

Roger is 1a 1b 1c when it comes to straight bjj in my eyes (and the stats)

Rogers MMA career is just getting started...Demians fell in love with striking/gotten away from his roots

Jacare beat Roger 2x Roger beat Jacare 2x and Roger had 50 lbs on him. I agree about Maia though.

"Throughout their history together, Ronaldo Jacaré and Roger Gracie faced off five times. Roger won the first, in the absolute brown belt final of the 2002 Worlds; Jacaré drew even in 2004, in the aforementioned final where he broke his arm; the third came at the 2005 European Open, with the Gracie taking a narrow win; then came the 2005 ADCC, where Roger submitted Jacaré; and to wrap up, there was the absolute black belt final at the 2005 Worlds, where Jacaré edged Roger out with a controversial decision."

Roger got the better of their contests (finished him/broke his arm in a loss), as well as is pretty much well known as the greatest grappler alive right now throughout the jiujitsu world

Jacare did leave earlier to compete/focus on MMA, so that definitely plays a role in it

I don't agree about who got the better but it's all good.
