Man...so I was a Sagat main in Sf4, I switched over to Ryu for SF5. It is despicable what they did to Ryu, it's not fair, at all. He is old character, everyone else has special attacks and tricks but Ryu is nothing but fighter. If you think of it you can do everything Ryu does martial arts in REAL LIFE. The only thing is what, Hadoken?? Zoning is completely trashed in this game, EVERY. SINGLE. PERSON has a screen jump option. No one has to work for shyt to get to you anymore like in SF4. Zoning was effectively killed and its not fair. I am scared how they are gonna handle this when they eventually release the tiger. But we gotta admit shyts not fair.

I see you ain't play SF3 the projectile was easily neutralized in that game. As for 4 the projectile game made watching it boring. If you're banking on Sagat to make love SFV don't. It'll be Sagat but with new tools and I guarantee you, his game will be more heavily focused around Muay Thai instead of shoto tactics.
Each SF game has always had its own identity and system. SFV is rush down and quicker matches fo sho and if you ain't rocking with it now you never will. Don't take this the wrong way but maybe you should check out KOF or Guilty Gear.

Yea bruh u hit the nail on the head. If u not feeling the way SF5 is playing currently dont expect Gat or any other character to change your mind about it. He is not going to play how u remember him. And Zoning is currently in the game. It's just not in the fashion older players are accustomed to.

You say this as if Guile isn't in the game. Also Menat and Sim can zone very well as well, you just have to be extremely solid with both to do it. But yeah, brain dead zoning via excessive fireball chucking is mostly a non-factor (except Guile).
And no, every person does not have a screen jump option. This isn't third strike with universal super jumps and parry, nor alpha series with air blocking. I'm guessing you weren't a fan much of those games either considering how way much more neutered fireballs were then.
Fireball spam had more than its just due in older games, but that shyt is played. Git gud. Don't whine. Don't like the game? Don't play.
I promise you I would completely run right over you .I am good, great even . But it is true they made the game lazy by almost everyone being able to jump the screen . Probably only like 3-4 who can't. And also let's not fair to mention there are so many safe options for a lot of these people except Ryu yet again. They really had a hard on fukking over Ryu for some reason I'm this game . But yeah pull up tough guy I'll trash u no problem .main?
