Think about it.
Having Guile vs Nash would show off the bat how different their move sets are.
It would of been a more interesting debut trailer.
Unless it would've had the two of them fighting against each other actively, then it wouldn't have been any different from showing him beat up anyone else. You could say it should've had him fighting bison since that's his nemesis, but fukk all if that matters when just displaying the movesets of but 1 character in the match. Your sentiment may be one of interest when they're actually going to demonstrate him in live play on Pro Talk tonight or something tho. I heard he's streaming now actually on here:

Basically it would be nice for them to do their moves one after the other in a back and forth to show exactly the differences in their movesets and then show him finishing of Nash afterward.
Would be amazing too because his moveset did get boosted from previous games in itself.

That wouldn't be a Guile trailer tho and wouldn't fall in line with how all their other trailers have been. They didn't do that for a Ken trailer in comparison to Ryu. That'd make the trailer more superfluous than needed. And if you've played the game any up till this point, the trailer shows quite the differences indeed between the two.

If you like details it would of been perfect. In fact Im surprised they didnt do it for the Ken and Rhy trailer too.

It shows the move sets for both characters in a comparison point which enhances the original intro.Perhaps.......it was a stupid suggestion.
So no its not stupid. If you think its stupid to enhance an intro then I have to question your mental health.
I'm assuming Guile and Alex are connected story line wise. In the comics they knew each other and I think Guile beat him in a non-tournament fight when Alex was trying to go kill Gill for beating up his mentor
