In this panel discussion with hip-hop dance innovators, the Jerome Robbins Dance Division celebrates the launch of an ongoing Dance Oral History Project series on street and club dancers. Hosted by Ana “Rokafella” Garcia and Gabriel “Kwikstep” Dionisio, We Out Here brings together legendary dancers Anthony G. "Cholly Rock" Horne, “Buddha Stretch” Emilio Austin Jr., “Float Master John,” Kim D. Holmes, Zone TDK, and Violeta Galagarza to watch and discuss clips from their respective oral histories recorded with the Dance Division. The panelists explore how the street and club dance styles that emerged in the 1970s evolved through generations and contributed to hip-hop culture

"Cholly Rock" Horne (panelist) is a legendary first generation A1 B-Boy from Gunhill Road and one of the original 11 members of "Zulu Kings" – the predecessor and genesis of The Universal Zulu Nation. A practitioner of several elements of hip-hop culture, he was also an early member of Soulsonic Force MCs. He pursued his professional career in the field of public health and education as a teacher in the New York City school system, a facilitator and health educator for the New York State Department of Health, and as a trainer for The Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

He co-founded the influential New York City Float Committee crew with his brother Will Rich in 1972. He's currently the group manager of The Float Masters and continues to dance/perform in prominent NYC locations, as well as being a mentor to new generations of street hitters/dancers in NYC and internationally
