You might have seen it discussed in one or two places that this year’s Oscar nominations are insanely white. One of the movies that got snubbed was “Straight Outta Compton,” the NWA biopic whose only nomination was given to its white writers.

But what if “Straight Outta Compton” had been a…different sort of movie? This amazing video from Super Deluxe shows the Oscar glory “Straight Outta Compton” might have been granted if it was more like “Dangerous Minds,” with Paul Giamatti’s character as the white savior Hollywood loves to champion. Regardless this movie should not win an Oscar. Just because its NWA - whom i love - and they now have big wig Jimmy Iovine & Dre behind the movie doesnt mean it automatically should win awards,
especially with distorted history in it. Of course it aint a biography but still..
