Yes it does.

Nobody is out here calling prepubescent boys "YN".

They made a big deal about that young black male pilot, called him a "YN"...why? Because despite being a pilot, he had a grill in his mouth, locs and tattoos if I'm not mistaken...he looked like he was a street nikka, flying an AIRPLANE!

:whoo:

Nobody call's TI's reasonable son YN either, you know why? Because he doesn't present himself like a crash-out, yn, thundercat or any of the many terms people have used for the young and reckless.

I'm sure he is a suburb kid, which begs to question, who in the fukking suburbs is calling HIM YN???? I'd be willing to bet, nobody. And If they're talking to him like that online, it most certainly does have to do with the audience his father has built his brand on, again as the quintessential "YN"

We can have the funeral for YN if you wish, but it ain't going to stop those types from doing what they do.
Why does G Herbo being his sons father qualify him being called a yn?

Do you know what "YN" means/how it's used in context or do you just think it applies to any young black male? That's concerning street shyt, street nikkas, a lot of them CHOOSING to be in the streets.

Herb being his dad doesn't qualify him for being called anything. But the only way that little black boy from the suburbs has any association with street shyt is because his daddy is a street nikka and has built his brand off being exactly what YN's represent. So unless he's in private school or his gated community being called YN by the people in that environment, the only other place it could be coming from are people he's that are aware him because of his father.

OK but do you listen to it and partake in it? Assuming you have kids, do they partake in it?

I'm just calling a spade a spade. Words should be the least of concern as long as it's not from another cultures mouth.
I barely listen to rap anymore. I'll check out a new release from some mainstays that been in the game 10+ years and might listen to some stuff from the 90s/early 2000s but the majority of the music I listen to is old go-go, 80s and 90s R&B, 2000s Neo Soul, and even 90s rock.
I don't have kids but I wouldn't feel comfortable with them listening to rap, if I'm being honest.

But YN is being used to describe any young black person even seen non blacks using it in the comments section on Instagram. Only we allow a racial slur to be used to describe us and that comes from openly using it in mixed company and in our media. I've been actively trying to not to used that word on here but I do slip up every now and again.

I kinda disagree. People aren't calling every young black breh a YN. You have to have certain characteristics, such as the Sheisty mask, sagging in skinny jeans with your whole ass out, walking around with a stick on display, etc.
Why do you wanna call a black male a nikka

Image is everything. Clean up the youth image and the problem is more likely to go away. But young teens are allowed to be wild, then it will stick

I understand your point but even the whole shiesty thing blurs the lines a bit because it's also a fashion trend that kids wear now and not just something criminals wear.
