Austin from late summer/early fall 1996 until probably early 1998 was GOAT. No excessive pandering to fans (if you want Stone Cold to such and such give me a hell yeah), beer guzzling, etc. Especially that first heel run leading up to Wrestlemania 13. :whew:

That period of the WWF was hot! Austin, HBK, Bret, Sid, Undertaker, and Vader all beefing with each other in some form or fashion. The intensity! shyt amazes me that Raw didn't get a couple of ratings wins in 1997.

He was almost absurdly angry. I don't think he smiled for like 3 years.

Austin: You go to Bret's house. You go to Brian's house. Well, why didn't you go to Victoria, Texas and come to my house?! :pacspit:

Vince: :to::hubie:Well, Mr. Austin, we...

Austin: SHUT UP!:pacspit::demonic:

Austin was INTENSE!!!!!! :picard::picard::gucci::gucci:

Da promo when he told Bret Hart to stop ducking him n go in the back n put on a pair of his dirty pink panties n come fight still got me DYING years later.

2 Man Power Trip Austin was a fool too!

Stayed callin out tha whole WWE locker room

:mjlol:
I've been watching '01 Raws lately and heel Austin was pheneomenal. Those promos where he'd call out individual fans in the crowd and threaten them:dead:

"Oh, you think it's bad that I hit Lita with a chair? Hell, I'll hit anybody that gets in my way!:birdman:"

":pacspit: That ol' fat b*stard in the front row,"

":pacspit: You with the buck teeth in the red shirt"

":pacspit: That lil' four-eyed sumbytch who keeps yelling!"

96-97 was the best era of stone cold without a doubt. I sent in a question to his podcast, asking him what his favourite Stone Cold era was. He answered it on air and agreed that it was this one :blessed:
