Stone Cold, The Rock, Hulk Hogan, The Undertaker are Mount Rushmore, period.

Nah I don't even watch wrestling anymore but Undertaker not with them. Dudes matches are boring

I'd put goldberg before undertaker

If there was a wrestling gimmick Mt. Rushmore, Undertaker would be first on my list. Hand’s down best gimmick ever.

If there was a WCW Mt Rushmore, that’s where Sting belongs. I literally hated to see him in TNA and the WWE. It’s like I like the idea that all WCW.

Where do I put Macho Man though? :ohhh:

I'll admit, since I stopped watching in 2005 I'm not as qualified to make the 4th pick. But considering how long this man has been wrestling and how iconic his name is, I thought it was the appropriate one :yeshrug:

My list hasn't changed since I stopped watching regularly around 99 or 2000:

One day "Gigolo" Jimmy Del Ray might have a place on the mountain but as of now he narrowly misses out on the 4th spot

Cena was a WWE project though. The other guys mentioned were chosen by the fans. For example, as big as The Rock is now people forgot that he used to lose A LOT. It seemed like he was losing a big match every other pay per view... (Austin, Triple H, Undertaker, Goldberg, Angle, Jericho, Lesnar, etc... ) which would be the end for most guys but no matter what he still maintained his icon status. Cena was made to look superior over guys like Angle, Lesnar, Edge, Batista, Orton, etc.. cuz WWE was desperate for a "guy"

But by this logic, we could go into the 80s and name off Piper, Andre, Savage, Orndorff, Iron Sheik, DiBiase, etc., etc. in the case of Hogan... still doesn't take away what he meant to that era of wrestling. Cena isn't my dude or my pick for #4 (to me it's Flair), but I can't deny that in a sense, he was the Hogan of his time. There's legit a whole generation of wrestling fans that grew up with him as their favorite wrestler mostly because of how he was pushed as the guy who always wins. Even MFs who are in their late-20s right now who won't admit it cause it ain't the cool smarky thing to say, when they were like 10, they were probably in school doing Cena taunts and marking out with those rap promos nshyt.

Funny thing is, he was chosen by fans originally (which got him pushed to the main event in the 1st place), and he was also one of the earliest cases of how online perception/discussion spills over into fan backlash. The first person to go through that was The Rock in '02-'03, and I'd say by the time WWE started going full Hogan with Cena's push in '05, the backlash was wild. Now it just happens all the time no matter who the person is it seems like, but Cena was definitely an example of it. And just like The Rock, now that the guy is gone, people cheer every time he shows back up. :lolbron:
