In fairness to budden,he didnt want to fight raekwon until after he got jumped.
Budden simply said he felt he was a better emcee than method man and wu tang members got their panties in a bunch so raekwon and some goons jumped budden.
Budden challenged him to fight afterwards 1 on 1 to save face.

this is what happened;
joe said he was better than method man, odb and big l
then interviews persisted between joe and mef and joe went on some radio show and did a diss
freestyle with slaughterhouse
then inspectah deck dissed joe at a show and joes response was to make a blog
sayin he punked inspectah deck off stage
until footage of decks performance leaked and none of what joe said occurred
then deck released a diss record to which joe never responded to
then when they shared the same tour date in NYC joe showed up with an insane amount of
bodyguards and mef would call him over and they would talk
joe told the media they squashed it and talked like men
unfortunatelty joe kept makin blogs and berating other members like raekwon and deck
in different interviews
a month or two after his talk with mef, joey and mickey factz were approached by rae and hanz
to which hanz struck joe.
after joe did a blog crying and icing his eye he performed at a show in NY with his arm in a sling
saying that it was because of the altercation
the idea that joe wanted to fight rae one on one was an afterthought created to save face for
his blog and stan following.
if you want to fight a man the one you let him know when he approaches your dressing room
rae doing that was the best action for joe because the rest of the camp wanted to give him stitches treatment
it was a win win. wu-tang kept they credibility and joe didnt get beaten to death
