Some of y’all overreacting. He likely won’t wrestle or take any huge bumps. He deserves a better ending to his career after what WWE did to bury him. :hhh: He’s a legend.

This. Thus far AEW has done a great job with utilizing legends for the most part. Plus as I mentioned earlier, I'm guessing he wants a better ending to his in-ring career than that match with Rollins and will be limited to tag matches to reduce the risk.

he avoided WWE for 20 years...theres no denying that he's unhappy about that run. he finally gave in and they did him exactly how you'd expect smh .

They literally had a sting vs taker wrestlemania 31 storyline gift wrapped, right into their hands. And instead they kept him in a triple h/authority storyline from day 1 till his last :snoop:

Could've seen sting vs orton. Nope :snoop:
Could've seen sting vs big show fukkery. Nope:snoop:
Couldve seen sting vs cena. Nope :snoop:

But instead hhh stuck his big fat nose into business, and they gave him an unnecessary WWE title match against Rollins, who ended up ending his in ring career . :snoop:

Yup it made no sense. The match everyone is wanted to see was Sting vs. Taker. Sting spent years ducking WWE because he felt he would get buried and they ended up proving him right.

Im surprised he didn’t demand a WWE world title run as part of his contract. They wanted him to job to HHH bad enough to give him that.

I don’t even think him doing the job for HHH was that bad. It provided some Kliq vs NWO fukkery for nostalgia sake. And they made Sting look strong the whole feud and even sold the idea he would have won had Kliq not interfered.

But he should have beat Rollins for the title. A lot of people who tuned out back in the late 90s/early 00’s (such as myself) would have checked it out again just off the fukkery of Sting of all people being WWE World Champ.

He should have successfully defended it 3 times or so then dropped it at Mania to Undertaker. And that should have been BOTH of their retirement match. And a perfect way to end both their in ring careers.

Even if he didn’t get injured, the match with Rollins was pointless without Sting going over.

The funny part was that neither Sting or Taker were doing anything worthwhile anyway, Sting’s feud with the Authority was lame and bipolar in it’s motivations (Sting outright said in a promo this wasn’t another WCW vs. WWF feud, come the night of the show the pre match promo was all about the Monday Night Wars) while Undertaker didn’t show up even one time to build the Wyatt match, won it without any fanfare and immediately left TV till the summer.

damn stinger is 61...time flies

Sting is a legend. I've not watched wrestling really since the 90's. I even stopped to watched this shyt when I heard he came on AEW. He's in the highest of pantheons of wrestling.
