Wwe didn't want it to happen.
They only brought him in to kill the legend of being the only major player from the outside to never kiss the ring.
Undertaker is an insecure old man that was afraid sting would out pop him & actually look prepared for a match.

If anything that only proves further that he was scared to work with sting.
He worked 2 Saudis shows with every other 50+ year old, but when it came to sting he was making excuses about his health & age.
Taker knows that sting match something highly anticipated for years & its hard for me to believe that he never heard the sting comparisons before.
He didn't want the pressure on him for having to deliver on his end.

They did that man dirty
brought him in and made it seem like it wasn’t a rehashed WCW vs WWF feud and did exactly that at WM... although the match was cool no way he should’ve took the L then HHH came out later that night and buried him in a promo
then the next night, this clip happens when Raw was off the air... why bring him out when the shoe goes off? The fans are literally chanting “Undertaker” and instead you bring him back months later to job to Seth Rollins right after Seth just lost a match to John Cena.. not to mention Sting started the match with multiple stinger splashes
they did that man dirty and ruined what could’ve been a great moment. Nobody asked for Sting vs HHH. If anything they should’ve did Sting beat HHH at RR to shake the ring rust off then had Sting job to Taker at WM.. instead they drug that Sting vs Authority storyline out for like 5 months just for it to end as another WWF Beats WCW story

Taker vs Sting
Stone Cold vs Goldberg
The Rock vs DDP (both we’re claiming people’s champ)
goldberg and Austin at least have had on screen interactions
Idk why they didn’t pull the trigger on Sting and Taker. I think broken neck Sting could’ve pulled out a safer match with Taker than Goldberg who’s notorious for hurting ppl
I also don’t understand why when Kurt Angle was on that retirement run having his last matches before WM that they didn’t put him against Daniel Bryan who was back to being an active wrestler
but even those 2 have had in ring interaction in a RR beforebruh I don’t understand why they won’t do Brock vs Bobby either
the 2 biggest dudes on your roster; both have MMA history; BL vs BL.... all they needed was for Bobby to stop jobbing to ppl and have a mouthpiece like Brock does. I don’t even understand how you can look at Lashley and not imagine him fighting Lesnar

It’s Sting’s fault Sting screwed Sting like he was close to signing in 2011 but decided not to then TNA stole and copied what the WWE was going to use for him and they blew it. To be honest if he came to WWE after Angle went to TNA like a bit after at least wrestling Angle then Sting could’ve ate during that mid 2000’s early 2010’s. Looking back that time was such a transition period that like only 5 cats max from that era still around. Also AJ Styles and Joe if they came three years earlier
But AJ and Joe both have eaten very well. The only reason Joe hasn't had more is because his body is broken down and he gets injured every time they try to do anything big with him. AJ has been treated better than pretty much any outside name they've ever signed even going back to the 80s.
