This is what i found based off our circumstances. No need to amend...

"President Biden will sign the bill this week and make all these things finally official. Then the IRS will figure out how to implement/issue guidance to tax payers for things like the unemployment exemption and other changes that impact people's 2020 taxes.

For the child tax credit monthly payment, since that won't take effect until July, it should be automatic. That's an advance on half of the increased child tax credit for 2021, so you wouldn't have to amend your 2020 return anyway."
