and they are the #3 welfare state too. west virginia and kentucky vote the way they do because of racism. they have no other reason to be republicans when they are sucking on the teat of the federal govt.

they didn't do this procedural trick that i just heard about on twitter. they didn't fight it hard enough or want it hard enough. i think the people who jump fastest to it's the democrats fault are those that want to absolve themselves of any responsibility for the power republicans actually have because you know people went out and voted for them. "it's not my fault ... be better and you might inspire me to vote and you might win."
totally ignoring that democrats don't win majorities unless people feel pain and as soon as that pain subsides they go back to not caring and republicans win.
