Keeping my overhead low, and my understand high
they want a full repeal of section 230, which they're tacking onto this bill.
Rubio went on to blame Democrats for rejecting Republican attempts to "pass additional relief for workers, families, and small businesses...at every turn."

"Remember, months ago Speaker Pelosi and Democrats rejected the Administration’s previous offer of $1,200 per adult and $1,000 per child. Thankfully, she’s finally stopped holding working families hostage," Rubio said.

He continued: "I share many of my colleagues’ concern about the long-term effects of additional spending, but we cannot ignore the fact that millions of working-class families across the nation are still in dire need of relief. Congress should quickly pass legislation to increase direct payments to Americans to $2,000."

It is now up to the Senate to vote on the measure that Trump has been pushing for since last week, though Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has not publicly stated how he plans to address the issue.

Rubio will also introduce legislation to amend Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act so that it continues to protect small businesses and companies that promote free speech on the Internet but takes away "immunity" for certain Big Tech platforms that moderate certain content, according to a press release.

Section 230 offers liability protections to websites that allow third-party users to post content on their platforms.

"I also stand ready to work with my colleagues to make much-needed changes to Section 230 and take steps to ensure the American people can once again have confidence in our elections," Rubio said
fukk it...let Sec 230 go.

That hurts their conspiracy theories more than anything else

Serious question. At worse you go back to $600 correct?

One would assume that if Mitch thought this would put Georgia in jeopardy he would have acquiesced?

It's win win for him. Either he's confident they pull it out because the crackas are that blindly committed or he gets to blame and obstruct Biden.

MM is a nihilist. And yeah, a measly 600 is all the needy get as a one time stimulus, plus some supplementary unemployment.

I would assume most republican senators agree with Mitch. They just don't want to publicly admit it.

That’s the thing about Mitch. He don’t even control the party platform, but he controls what business gets done and what doesn’t. Quite frankly, he could give a fukk less if it is popular for Republicans......it’s about the donors and their business. The only reason he cares about Perdue or Loeffler is the seats. Every time he sees Perdue in the hallway, he probably look at him like he’s a bytch when he says “Afternoon, Mitch”

If you’re GOP you have to fukk with him. House and/or Senate. Steven Munchin is a member of the Cabinet and he runs the negotiations by McConnell before he takes them to the president. Vote against him without his permission, you’re fukked. shyt, Jeff Flake voted with him and he’s on the back of a milk carton.

I’ll go back to something I said in another thread:

“Toomey, Collins, Portman, and Gardner aren’t the standard bearers for the party, but nor do they cause many problems. They also don’t have controlling positions in the Senate either. Those go to safe, small deep Red state Republicans.”

Why? They mean nothing to him besides votes. Why does he need to reward someone who COULD lose their seat? He is all about control. 50+1, no own goals, get what YOU need to do win, and grind the clock out. 50-1? Play tough defense, force mistakes and grind the clock out. There isn’t anything else to it.

Remove him and replace him with who? Grassley? Cruz? Paul? Lee? Rubio? Nah, half these dudes are barely coherent, would buckle under the slightest bit of pressure, and have alternative motives from the donors.

You don’t have to agree with a damn thing. You vote how he tells you to vote. He’ll made a big deal out of something small to make you vote or he’ll call up Joe Manchin to give you cover. He doesn’t care, you’re a seat and he’s got shyt to do. And he’s got all the dirt. What is Kentucky gonna do if you release his dirt? Re-elect him.

You know when everyone makes a big deal that Pelosi knows how to count votes? Mitch is better at it because he makes the votes count. The only fukk-up he ever had (and I think he planned it to scare Trump after McCain told him he’d vote no) was the Obamacare repeal.

He’s honestly one of the few people that I hate the player instead of the game. He’s Deebo, Trump just happened to throw a brick. Now Pelosi and Schumer are punching him in the face and taking their stuff back. Let’s see if he falls back or plays dirty.
