Like I said a couple days ago, they will try to hang the government shutdown on the necks of the Dems because ominubs and covid relief got lumped together. The reality is, the omnibus is filled with trash but the Dems are rightfully more concerned with covid relief. I hope each of the people who spent a considerable amount of time arguing with me now finally understands that Mitch McConnell doesn't give a sh*t about what comes out of the WH unless it works in his favor. He has been and will continue to be the true obstacle to any forward progress as long as he's majority leader in the Senate. Every ad up until Jan 5 that talks about paltry stimulus relief and a potential government closure during the holidays needs to have his face on it.

I'm gonna savor shytting on Trump supporters on social media today. The juelzing will be of never before seen proportions:wow:

I’ve already been talking that shyt all morning.

I think the lesson learned by them in all of this is this:

For all of not wanting black and brown people to have any help from the government, they voted against their own interests for so long, they entrenched people who don’t give a shyt about them and that was the game all along. Tax you. Give your money to rich people. fukk you.

They just figured out they see them the same way they see Black and Brown people. They were told this for DECADES..... They didn’t listen. Do you know what that’s gonna do to the already highly fragile psyche of white America? I can’t comprehend it.

This was the flashpoint for the break of the GOP and Trumpism. Trump made them feel WHITE again. And not only has the GOP turned on him, they won’t listen to him either. It didn’t matter that they are hurting en masse (or even if they aren’t they could use the money), being white wasn’t enough to have the GOP give you some of your hard earned money back.

Mitch got McCarthy to run someone out there and take the hit. Now they gonna be on record. And it’s still gonna pass. And then it’s up to Mitch...... and the backlash is gonna be glorious. They starving. They hungry. And now the sheep are gonna be the wolves. Get ready for more crazies in Congress.

Imagine the street prices if you could cut, cook, chop and distribute white privilege. I’d be rich, brehs. We’d be rich, brehs. Just ride around rural America finding broken down cacs saying “You wanna remember how you felt in 1962?” What’s higher than Schedule 1? Because it would have to be. Like I’d have to get 2 to 5 just for this post.

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
When u keep electing people who come from upper middle class neighborhoods this is what you get. Rural America doesn’t represent the majority yet their agenda “let the middle class and urban America suffer” stays in the forefront.

it’s minority rule. An affluent congress appeasing poor white people by screwing over the majority in the middle.

poor white people know they will never accumulate wealth. The best they can hope for is making sure nobody else suffers.

Hasn’t that always been the case though? Congress has usually been made up of the affluent class.

I feel like the problem isn’t a swamp, it’s a bubble.

It used to be that ex-members just went back to their communities when they left Congress. Now they just stay in Washington or Washington adjacent. There’s no reason to worry about what affect your policy has back in your state or district, they don’t really belong there anymore.

Congress has fewer work days than ever but I doubt it’s so they can be home talking to constituents. It’s big dinner fundraisers and meetings.

Murc's Law suggests the Democrats still get blamed for this.

"Why did Pelosi even try this stupid shyt? She knew it wasn't going to pass. :camby:"

"Why didn't they fight harder back then and it only took Trump speaking up for them to grow a spine? :camby:"

"Blah blah both sides. :camby:"

I guarantee there's a thread in TLR right now with those exact posts verbatim.

Trump's fault. Everything was ready to go. Checks were ready to be distributed next week until Trump had to make that video demanding adjustments to the bill.

Hopefully it's a blessing in disguise and Trump gave the assist to the Dems to take GA. Giving Dems the senate and Biden to sign off on a 4 Trillion stimulus bill on day one.

How much will those checks be if a 4 trillion bill is signed? :lupe:
